Pimples are caused by sensitivity to the testosterone hormone present in both males and females, which can trigger the over production of an oily substance called sebum.Sebum, which is produced by sebaceous glands attached to hair follicles in the dermis, helps keep hair and skin water proof.

Your skin is constantly renewing itself, and while new cells are produced in the lower layers of skin, the old dead cells are sloughed away from the surface. This,together with excessive sebum production, can lead to acne and pimples.Sebum normally travels through the hair follicle to the surface of the skin.However,if a pore becomes blocked by a few dead skin cells that haven’t been shed properly, the sebum builds up inside the hair follicle.This oily build up is a breeding ground for bacteria, which then accumulate and multiply around the area, making the skin inflamed and infected.This results in the pimple.Whiteheads and blackheads are types of acne pimples known as comedones. Blackheads are open comedones, which means the blockage of sebum is exposed to the air,causing oxidation of the sebum (similar to when an applebrowns).Whiteheads, on the other hand, are closed comedones and are not exposed to air as they’re covered by a layer of skin.

For blemishes and Acne
1. Egg whites
After you separate out the yolk, apply egg whites to your face and allow to dry for about 15 minutes.
Rinse off and you'll find not only that scars and overall redness disappear, but it also closes pores in just one use.

2. Cucumber
Extract the juice from a cucumber and apply it to your blemish.
Allow it to sit for 15 minutes, then rinse.

Apply pure (preferably organic) honey directly to blemished skin with a  cotton ball daily.
Allow it to soak in for 10 minutes and rinse with cool water.

Apply lemon juice to your blemishes with a cotton ball.

5. Aloe Vera Juice
You can get pure aloe juice in a whole foods market.
Apply the aloe vera juice directly to your blemishes with a cotton ball or towel.

Aloe is also famous for treating burns and easing itchy dry skin.
